This month, Romania’s Government is launching auction for two sections of the Pitesti-Sibiu highway, Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu announced. Measures to promote the business environment will be further adopted, in particular by reducing bureaucracy, he added.
Radio Romania reporter Cătălin Radu:According to Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu's statement, the Government's zero priority is to allow investments, especially for the development of road infrastructure. The statement was made at a meeting of the Prime Minister with the most important businessmen in the country, participants at the second edition of the Romanian Investors Forum.
Sorin Grindeanu: "This month wil be auctioned lots 1 and 5 of the Pitesti-Sibiu highway and the whole section of the Pitesti-Craiova highway”. Reporter: The prime minister said further steps will be taken to reduce bureaucracy after removing 102 taxes to improve the business environment. Sorin Grindeanu: We have adopted several measures, such as the exemption from corporate income tax in the first 10 years of activity for companies that carry out exclusively innovation, research, development, setting a 1% tax rate for micro-enterprises that have one or more employees and eliminating the 2% tax rate for micro-enterprises with a single employee.
