Gold medals for Romania in the European Rowing Championships
Female crew of 8 plus one of Romania won the gold medal at the European Championships in Seville. Another gold medal was obtained by the women's crew double frames.

Female crew of 8 plus one of Romania won on Sunday the gold medal at the European Championships in Seville, which was the seventh consecutive performance for the tricolor athletes at continental level.
The favorites of the final 8 plus 1, Roxana Cogianu, Ionela Zaharia, Cristina Grigoraş, Irina Dorneanu, Adelina Cojocariu, Boghian Andreea, Camelia Lupascu, Druncea Daniela and Nicoleta Albu, dominated the 2000m race from one end to another.
Gold medal for the seventh consecutive time
Romanian crew finished with a time of 6:41.83 minutes, receiving the gold medal, won for the seventh consecutive time.
On the podium also climbed Germany (silver, 6:50.20 minutes) and Russia (bronze, 6:53.32).
Romania has also won Sunday two medals in the finals in Seville, gold at frames with double female crew (Cristina Grigoraş and Andreea Boghian) and silver in the men's four frames crew without coxswain (Marius-Vasile Cozmiuc, George Palamariu, Cristi-Ilie Parghie, Florin Curuea).
At the 2012 European Championship, Romania won five medals (two gold, two silver and one bronze).
