The land on which will be built the replica is located at east of the village Draganesti-Olt, at 300 meters from the last house in the hearth of the city.
The progress of the Plain Museum Boian to achieve a true copy of the getic settlement of the Spranceana starts to be visible.
The funds used for reconstruction of the getic settlement will be reduced, the costs reaching a maximum of 200,000 euros and the work will expand more than two years.
Boian museum director, Traian Zorzoliu, the one who will carry out this unique project, said there are some small settlements, as tried before with Gumelnita tell, but at a slightly more developed and higher level and on bigger lands in the northern European countries, where they reconstructed Viking settlements that are successful and are leased for two to three years.
Traian Zorzoliu is convinced that after completion, the reply will attract many curious who will want to go back in time. For Getae people on lower Olt Valley, dava from Spranceana by its size plays a political, economic, religious, of surveillance and even military role.
While at Spranceana was a thriving activity, the Dacian world had three major categories of housing: sheepfolds, open settlements and fortified settlements.
The reply of the getic inhabiting will cover 2,600 square meters, on a spur with a height of 25 meters to the next terrace, on which there is the village of Draganesti-Olt, is oval and surrounded, except for the east on all sides, of very inclined slopes, inaccessible.
