In the special parliamentary commission on justice laws, the vote on the project on the organization and operation of the Superior Council of Magistracy is expected next week, and the senators are starting to debate the amendments submitted to the emergency ordinance on capping energy prices.
The emergency ordinance on capping energy prices is on the working table of the Senate as the first referred chamber and it is possible that from next week they will be discussed in the specialized committees.
The start of the debates, however, depends on the decisions taken at the level of the governing coalition regarding the amendments that can be accepted.
The PSD parliamentarians believe that the normative act must be improved and propose, among other things, capped prices for religious cults, the pharmaceutical industry and public transport. The attention of the Parliament is also the three draft laws adopted by the government on the topic of justice.
On Monday, a vote is scheduled in the Special Commission for the document that visits the organization and operation of the Superior Council of Magistracy, after which discussions will begin for the project on the judicial organization and the status of magistrates.
The Minister of Justice, Catalin Predoiu, emphasizes that the rapid adoption of these laws depends on the inclusion of the objectives established by the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism.
However, USR insists that the vote was given only after consulting the Venice Commission on the proposals made by the government in the field of justice.
