The General Prosecutor's Office classified the file on the adoption, by the Government, of the Emergency Ordinance No.13 (OUG 13), which brought some amendments to the Penal Codes.
Prosecutors justify their decision by the fact that the lawfulness of Ordinance 13 is outside their jurisdiction and cannot be the object of a criminal investigation.
As a reminder, Ordinance 13, which provided for the establishment of a 200,000 lei threshold for the abuse of service, was adopted by the Grindeanu Government on 31 January 2017.
It was abolished following mass protests in Bucharest and across the country, according to RRA reporter Diana Surdu.
