Simona Halep, WTA number one, has won her first Grand Slam title at the French Open Final in Roland Garros, after victory over Sloane Stephens (US, 10th WTA) with 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Simona has thus fulfilled her great dream of winning a Grand Slam.
Simona Halep is the second Romanian woman who wins the title at the French Open in Roland Garros, 40 years after Virginia Ruzici’s success in 1978.
