Road traffic will be closed today between 11:00 and 12:00 on the National Road 5 in the Giurgiu Border Crossing Point area to ensure smooth running of the "Free Spirit Run Giurgiu-Ruse" international cross-border run.

This year at its third edition, the competition gathers participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Austria, Kenya, Portugal, Serbia and Hungary. They will run 15 kilometers from the Clock Tower in Giurgiu (Romania) to the Freedom Square in Ruse (Bulgaria).

Runners will cross the Romanian-Bulgarian border on the Friendship Bridge over the Danube, says Radio Romania Actualităţi RRA correspondent Marcela Petcu.
