Former anti-corruption prosecutors Lucian Onea and Mircea Negulescu (Ploiești) have been sued by prosecutors of Special Section for Investigating Magistrates. The two are accused, among other things, of improper participation in misleading judicial bodies, unjust repression and abusive investigation.
RRA Reporter Diana Surdu: "Special Section Prosecutors claim that Lucian Onea and Mircea Negulescu, mentioned in two criminal cases in 2015, have forced a witness, former MP Vlad Cosma, to make a fake complaint on a different name and to make up electronic lists of voters from Republic of Moldova who would have had Romanian citizenship in 2014, in order to prove corruption allegedly committed by the person against whom denunciation was made.
Purpose of fake unrealistic evidence was to prove the crime of corrupting voters by a person about whom the two prosecutors knew was not guilty.
File will be settled by High Court of Cassation and Justice. Initially, investigation of the two magistrates was made by General Prosecutor's Office, but the case was taken over by Special Section, and case prosecutor is Adina Florea.
Prosecutor General's Office argued that in 2015, Lucian Onea and Mircea Negulescu forced former MP Vlad Cosma - threatening him directly that they will incriminate his sister, Andreea Cosma - to falsely file a petition on another name, tables, lists of voters in Republic of Moldova, to show voters would have received money as electoral bribe".
