Foreign direct investments increased by over 21%

Foreign direct investments increased by 21.47% in the first half of this year, to 4.379 billion euros, compared to 3.605 billion euros in the same period of 2021, according to data from the National Bank of Romania.
"The direct investments of non-residents in Romania amounted to 4.379 billion euros (compared to 3.605 million euros in the January - June 2021 period), of which equity participations (including the estimated net reinvested profit) totaled a net value of 3.115 million euros, and loans intragroup registered a net value of 1.264 billion euros", the BNR press release states.
The number of companies with foreign capital newly established in Romania increased, in the first six months of 2022, by 35.1%, compared to the same period in 2021, to 3.476 units, according to the data centralized by the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC), informs Agerpres.
