The head of Romania's government, Victor Ponta, also the leader of the governing Social Democratic Party (PSD), believes that 2012 was a very good year when compared with the current challenges in 2013.
The leader of the governing National Liberal Party (PNL) shared his opinion. PNL leader Crin Antonescu praised the Ponta Cabinet activity, and claimed that he was unable to mention failures in this respect.
However, PM Victor Ponta acknowleged such failures though pointing out that measures last year allowed progress in the coming year when the European Comission forecast for Romania indicated a growth of 1 percent.
As RADIO ROMANIA reports, Prime Minister Ponta sounded optimistic about his second year as head of the Social Liberal Union (USL) government while pointing out that his Cabinet observed its budget targets despite a wage and pension increase.
