The number of cities and towns where a protective mask is mandatory even in open public spaces is increasing, this resulting in police officers and gendarmes stepping up their check-ups.
They check both the way people wear the mask, but also whether the other protection measures imposed by the authorities are respected.
In just 48 hours, following some checks in the area of the North Railway Station in Bucharest, 129 fines in the amount of 60.000 ron were given.
There were checks on trains, on platforms or near the train station, and according to the Capital Police, more than 320 people were identified.
The police call on the population to comply with all necessary measures to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.
