About 2.6 million people with low incomes will benefit from August 14 from a new installment of 250 lei, which will be transferred to food cards.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Investment and European Projects, Adrian Caciu.
The beneficiaries of this support granted by the Romanian Government are homeless people and people with severe, accentuated or medium degree of disability, whose own monthly income is less than or equal to 2.000 lei.
Then there are single-parent families and those with at least two dependent children, with a realized monthly income per family member less than or equal to 675 lei.
Families and single persons who have established their entitlement to the inclusion allowance in accordance with the law, as well as pensioners of the public pension system whose monthly income is less than or equal to 2.000 lei, also receive this financial aid. The cards can be used for food or hot meals.
