Leaders of the governing coalition met today at the Victoria Palace for final discussions on joint candidates for the local and European Parliament elections in June.
The meeting was also attended by the director of the University Hospital in Bucharest, doctor Catalin Cirstoiu, who is believed to have the best chance of becoming the joint candidate of PSD and PNL for the Mayor's office.
This new meeting of the coalition leaders is mainly focused on finalising the list for the European Parliamentary elections, but also for the local elections, including for the Mayor's office, which should be publicly announced tomorrow.
In fact, PSD and PNL representatives decided last night to support joint candidates for the sector mayoralties, the General Council, the local sector councils, but also for the General Mayor's office, and for the position of Bucharest's mayor, the best rated candidate is currently Dr. Catalin Cirstoiu, manager of the University Hospital, who, by the way, came to the Victoria Palace today to discuss with Marcel Ciolacu and Nicolae Ciuca.
As for the joint list for the European Parliamentary elections, it will be opened, as decided, by Ramona Chiriac, head of the European Commission Representation in Romania, and two other names belonging to Mihai Tudose and Rares Bogdan.
The European parliamentary and local elections will take place at the same time, on 9 June.
