False bomb alert in Giurgiu Customs

A Bulgarian driver alerted the Romanian authorities, after announcing the presence of a bomb in Giurgiu Customs.
His complaint was not confirmed and the Bulgarian was fined for his false appeal.
"On November 7, the Giurgiu Municipality Police was notified through 112 by a Bulgarian citizen, regarding the fact that there is a bomb in Giurgiu Customs.
Based on the notification, the police officers went to the scene, on which occasion the caller was identified, a 50-year-old man, the driver of a truck that was on its way out of the country.
Following the verifications, it was established that the information notified by the man was not real, fact for which, the Bulgarian citizen was sanctioned with a fine in the amount of 4.000 lei", informs IPJ Giurgiu.
