The Ministry of Health allocated today another 200 million lei for major medical emergencies in hospitals.
In total, more than 500 million lei have been directed this year to the Priority Action Program for critical patients in intensive care, stroke, trauma, acute myocardial infarction or severe burns.
In a statement, the ministry says that the main components that have been considerably increased are those for stroke patients, where the budget has been increased by 90%, acute myocardial infarction by 45% and for ICU by 50%.
The Priority Actions Program run by the Ministry of Health directly funds hospitals in Romania, in addition to CNAS.
