European Film Festival: 7 May – 3 June
Alongside the seven halls in Bucharest, the films will be projected in other cities in Romania, including Târgu Mureş, Timişoara, Alba Iulia and Sibiu.

European Film Festival, at its 22nd edition, starts on Monday, 7 May, at the Bucharest National Theater (Great Hall).
Alongside the seven halls in Bucharest, the films will be projected in other cities in Romania, including Târgu Mureş, Timişoara, Alba Iulia and Sibiu, as announced by the Romanian Cultural Institute, organizer of the event.
Artistic Director of this edition, Benoît Ribout: "There are several sections this year, which is also an anniversary edition of the Centenary. I chose some films related to World War I, almost all of them from outside Romania, from Milos Forman, Ivan Passer, Renoir - "La grande Illusion" ("The Great Illusion"), Jiri Menzel…masterpieces. New, restored versions that were premiered at the biggest film festivals in the world - Cannes, Venice and we bring them for the first time at the Festival, restored and in a new light”.
