European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, Vera Jourova, is on official visit to Romania and agenda for Tuesday, November 20, includes meetings with Romanian Justice Minister Tudorel Toader, President of Romania’s High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ), Cristina Tarcea, and President Klaus Iohannis.
According to the European Commission Representation in Bucharest, purpose of the visit is to discuss the priorities in the Justice field, in the context of Romania’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the developments in Romania’s judiciary system.
Also on Tuesday, European Commissioner will be at the Cotroceni Palace to deliver an opening speech at a round table on the situation of children abandoned as a result of international mobility, an event organized by the Presidential Administration, according to Agerpres.
On Monday, 19 November, Commissioner Vera Jourova met with Romanian Minister of Finance, Eugen Teodorovici.
