EUR 320 million from the EU for Romania’s Healthcare System

Romania has EUR 320 million from European funds allocated for its Healthcare system for 2014-2020, EUR 150 million are allocated for three regional hospitals in Cluj, Iași and Craiova, European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Crețu, announced.
The European Investments Bank (EIB) ensures that the feasibility studies for the three regional hospitals will be given to Romania in March 2018, she added.
In the Transport infrastructure sector, Romania that lost money in 2007-2013, and now the European Commission awaits approval of large infrastructure projects proposals, European Commissioner for Regional Policy mentioned.
What has been done is as follows: 300 km of motorway; 2,400 km of rehabilitated county roads; 51,000 jobs created - out of which 14,000 in Small and Medium Enterprises and 2,000 in research development projects; 2,700 SMEs received direct support. In the social and educational infrastructure, 2,500 schools and school inspectorates have been connected to the Internet, 100 medical clinics and hospitals were rehabilitated and 230 social centers were made, "Corina Crețu said.
