EU Strategy for the Danube Region is the theme of a seminar that takes place today at the Galaţi County Council (Eastern Romania).
Romanian Minister-Delegate for European Affairs Victor Negrescu is scheduled to attend the event.
Seminar will debate Romania's policy on the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, also the EUSDR (SUERD,RO) Regional Operational Program, as well as opportunities for Galaţi county to develop, in the context of innovation programs in the Danube region.
EU Strategy for the Danube Region addresses the territory of the river basin and aims at achieving four major objectives: interconnecting, protecting the environment, increasing prosperity and strengthening the Danube region - nine EU Member States - Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia , Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary - but also five non-EU states - Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
