EU's Chief Negotiator for Brexit, Michel Barnier, expressed interest to pay a visit to Romania in the near future, Romanian Minister-Delegate for European Affairs announces on his Facebook page.

European Union’s Chief Negotiator for Brexit, Michel Barnier, will pay a visit to Romania in the near future, Romanian Minister Delegate for European Affairs Victor Negrescu announced.
"I am glad to inform you that Michel Barnier will come to Romania in the near future, in order to strengthen the cooperation and increase the quality of our country's contribution to the consolidation of the European Union", Victor Negrescu mentioned on Facebook, referring to his meeting with Michel Barnier in Strasbourg.
"Our priority is to protect the rights of Romanians living, working or studying today in the UK. We will keep permanent contact with Michel Barnier and the negotiating team of the European Commission - including from the perspective of Romania's responsibility as the future Presidency of the Council of the European Union - to ensure that the next rounds of negotiations will register progress in reference to the interests of the Romanian citizens but also to those of all the other Member States", Victor Negrescu wrote on his Facebook page.
