EU Ministers of Labour in Bucharest:Equal opportunities for women and men

Equal opportunities for women and men has been main topic of discussion on the first day of informal meeting of EU Ministers for Labour, which takes place in Bucharest. This issue is a priority for Romania’s EU Council Presidency, says Romanian Minister of Labour and Social Justice,Marius Budăi.
Minister Marius Budăi: I thank EU Member States for having responded 100% present to this informal meeting and, above all, for agreeing to participate and debate on such an important topic for Romania - equality of opportunities between women and men - where we are pride to say that Romania is in a leading position. Gender pay gap in Romania is 3.5%, whereas EU average is 15.2%.
