European Commission is planning to end the practice of switching from summer to winter time.

European Commission proposes to end the practice of switching from summer to winter time. Proposal comes after a consultation involving several million European citizens.
"People want this and we will do it", said EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in an interview with German television channel ZDF. The idea is to stay permanently at summer time, he said.
Commission's proposal needs approval of the EU Member States and the European Parliament.
