EU Budget 2018 adopted
European Parliament approved the EU’s budget for 2018, in its Brussels plenary session.

European Parliament approved, on Thursday, November 30, the EU’s budget for 2018, in its Brussels plenary session. Lead rapporteur for the 2018 EU budget was Romanian MEP Siegfrid Muresan (EPP).
EU budget for next year is 160 billion euros in commitments and 144 billion euros in payments. It provides increased allocations for investment, youth employment, research, innovation, security, and also for the Eastern neighborhood countries, including the Republic of Moldova.
Total amount of the Structural and Cohesion Funds amounts to € 46 billion, an increase of 54% compared to the € 30 billion established for this chapter in 2017.
