Ambassadors from the European Union Member States, accredited in Bucharest, request a meeting on European issues with Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă, Foreign Minister Teodor Meleșcanu announced.
He told RRA Reporter Carmen Gavrilă in an exclusive interview that ambassadors from the EU Member States have also asked for details on the laws of Justice.
"They referred to the fact that some adjustments are needed, but they insisted very much that these adjustments should not impinge on the functioning of the Judiciary. We also informed that at a later stage there will be a project on the presumption of innocence, which is a European directive that we have to apply, otherwise we will be subjected to the infringement procedure, and we have also discussed about the importance of direct consultations between us, and not through the press", said Teodor Meleşcanu.
