Energy minister assures that the national energy system is secure

Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja gives assurances that the national energy system is secure and there is no question of large-scale disruptions in electricity supply.
He noted that on hot days there may be occasional breakdowns, but distribution operators are prepared to intervene.
The minister emphasized that he has a constant and very good dialogue with producers to find solutions to increase production during this period at hydro, gas or coal-fired power stations.
Sebastian Burduja made these statements in the context of the ministerial committee for the energy sector, which he has convened tomorrow at 11:00.
On the agenda of the meeting is an analysis of the situation in the national energy system, the impact of weather conditions and the necessary measures, the evolution of consumption and production in the short and medium term.
