Actor Emil Hossu died at the Nottara Theatre, where the SMURD doctors, called for intervention, did not manage to resuscitate him after he went going into cardiopulmonary arrest.

Actor Emil Hossu died on Wednesday evening, the doctors from the Mobile Emergency Service for Resuscitation and Extrication (SMURD) being unable to resuscitate him after going into cardiopulmonary arrest, according to Mediafax.
Death was confirmed at 19.13.
The actor collapsed on Wednesday at the Nottara Theatre in Bucharest, and a SMURD ambulance was called for doctors could to give him first aid.
Doctor Bogdan Opriţa, the SMURD coordinator in Bucharest, stated for Mediafax that the actor was in cardiopulmonary arrest and that doctors were trying to resuscitate him.
Bogdan Opriţa also said that the call was made around 18.30.
According to SMURD’s coordinator, someone called for an ambulance saying that actor Emil Hossu fainted and was unconscious.
The actor Emil Hossu was born on 24 November 1941 at Ocna Sibiu.
His first paid roles were played for the radio theatre.
He served as an actor of the Nottara Theatre in Bucharest.
He was married to actress Catrinel Dumitrescu, who works at the same theatre.
The actor played in dozens of movies including: Cel mai iubit dintre pamânteni, Balanţa, Secretul lui Bachus, Toamna bobocilor, Secretul lui Nemesis etc.
