"The new system enables the fractional drug release from a recipe, an accurate and faster access to patient medication required, but also objective monitoring system expenditures for compensated medicines.
This project aims to directly improve the quality of medical prescription, but also the patient’s confidence in the health system. The new system will provide predictability of consumption and the necessary information for effective management decision makers, "said Marius Filip.
Doctor Marius Filip warned that prescription form must not be bent or crumpled in the bar code in order to be read in pharmacy.
If the prescription was issued in offline mode, the input and validation will be done at the pharmacy, broadcasted us Radio Romania reporter, Adriana Turea.
After receiving a copy of electronic prescription from the doctor, the patient will go to the pharmacy, where drugs can be risen only by prescription and personal ID and only within the county in which his doctor has a contract with the Health Insurance House.
The application has not arrived for general practitioners

Marius Filip said that until October 1, the receipt is retrieved from the system by pharmacists.
Also until this date, doctors would have to equip offices with electronic software prescribing the prescription required.
According to CNAS estimations, in the first month of the introduction, approximately 10 percent of prescriptions will be prescribed in the new system, so that in two to three months to reach about 40-50 percent.
