Eight thousand police officers, with more than 300 radars, will be present on public roads this weekend, very high traffic values being expected on main arteries. Traffic will also be monitored from a helicopter, the Romanian Police announced.
In addition to the usual warnings regarding defensive driving, compliance with the legal speed and the distance between cars, drivers are also advised to take breaks every 2-3 hours, in order to prevent accidents due to fatigue.
Additional police crews will be sent to the Nicula monasteries in Cluj County, and to those in Cacica and Putna, in Suceava, where, traditionally, pilgrimages take place with large participation in the Christian holiday of the Assumption or Great Saint Mary.
