"Eight thousand jobs" could be unblocked in education
The interim Minister of Education Liviu Pop announces that 5,500 jobs will be unblocked at secondary and high schools and 2,400 ones in the university education system.

8,000 posts are to be released in the pre-university and university education system -the announcement was made Thursday by the interim Minister, Liviu Pop.
He noted that the Ministry is preparing for two normative acts to be adopted by the Government and by which will be unblocked 5,500 jobs at general and high schools and 2,400 ones in the university education system.
President of the Federation of Free Trade Unions in Education, Simion Hăncescu, argues that unions have demanded a review of the necessary jobs in the system.
"We have normatives that have been for nearly 20 years, there are some European normatives and we have agreed that in the future, to analyze these normatives and to see exactly how many people each school needs- referring to auxiliary and TESA staff.
There were problems with teaching stations, until now. The ones that were blocked were those of auxiliary and auxiliary staff, because they are schools that are currently unoccupied, even six posts. According to the law, at seven posts you can hire one person, "said Liviu Pop.
In addition, the Government has decided on Wednesday, as the number of grants for the academic year 2012-2013 to over 28,000 higher than forecast project developed in the mandate of the former Minister, Cătălin Baba.
Thus, the number of free places to students and increases with 17,000, increases for master-10,000 and advisers will be two-fold, according to the Government.
