Producer: Ciprian Sasu - Education unions are announcing protests starting next month, which could culminate in a general strike in May, if the Government continues to ignore the problems in the system. The professional federations are dissatisfied with the removal from the draft of the Education Law of the provisions regarding the updating of salaries in the field, in accordance with the average gross salary for the economy from the previous year. The representative of the Spiru Haret Union, Maria Rezi.
Maria Rezi: What do we really want? A new education law that is transparent, fair and with the consent of our colleagues, to be consulted. And two, a salary law, where we are placed where we need to be. In addition to these, a whole host of other problems are added and we will continue as best we can. Other ways of manifesting will follow, completing the last stage - which no one particularly wants - and continue with the general strike.
