Romania will have a new powder factory, says Economy Minister Florin Spataru.
He stated on public television that Romania has the necessary money for this project and that collaborative partnerships have been concluded with the United States and South Korea.
Florin Spataru: We will make a production capacity for powders for the types of ammunition that we are going to develop, because we are talking about both NATO and non-NATO ammunition, and in addition to the 800 million lei that we allocated to the Ministry of Economy from the ministry's budgets, we have signed partnerships with American and South Korean companies to be able to start this industrial construction.
The Minister of Economy recently stated that in the last year Romania started investing in the re-technology of the armaments industry, in the context of the war in Ukraine. He stated that it is desired to develop new production capacities, especially in factories that produce ammunition.
