EC Vice-President Vera Jourova met with the President of the CCR

The priority of applying European law is a component of the principle of legal certainty at European level, and the European Commission must ensure that the principles of the rule of law work, said Vera Jourova, Vice-President of the Community Executive, during her meeting in Bucharest with the President of the Constitutional Court, Marian Enache.

Vera Jourova also said that justice reforms enjoy the support of the European Commission.

In his turn, the president of the Constitutional Court of Romania said that the permanent dialogue between the national constitutional courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union is the solution in case of controversies that may arise in the national and European legal space.
