EC urges Romania to adopt Motor Insurance Directive
Articol de Radiojurnal, 15 Noiembrie 2024, 00:18
The European Commission has sent reasoned opinions to Romania and five other Member States for failing to notify the full transposition into national law of the latest Motor Insurance Directive.
The reasoned opinion is the second stage of the infringement procedure. The deadline for transposing the Directive into national law was December 23, 2023.
The other countries that have been warned are Bulgaria, Spain, Latvia, Malta and Portugal. The Motor Insurance Directive aims, through a series of additional measures, to strengthen the protection of road accident victims across the EU.
