EC President to attend inauguration of Romanian EU Council Presidency

European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker, will be in Bucharest on 10 January 2019, together with the College of Commissioners, to attend the inauguration ceremony of Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, informs www.romania2019.eu, a dedicated website for the Romanian EU Presidency, officially launched on Friday.
Also on January 10, Romanian Athenaeum will host a concert performed by the Orchestra of the European Union, made up of musicians from all 28 Member States, by internationally acclaimed Romanian musicians such as Adela Zaharia, Ruxandra Donose, Michael König and Sorin Coliban and by “George Enescu” Philharmonic Choir. Conductor of the concert will be Ion Marin, and Iosif Prunner will coordinate the choir.
Another inaugural concert of the Romanian Presidency will take place on January 24 at the “Bozar” Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels. The Romanian Youth Orchestra, conducted by Cristian Mandeal, will present a repertoire including works by prominent Romanian composers such as George Enescu, Theodor Rogalski, Grigoraş Dinicu, George Grigoriu and Eugen Doga.
