Bucharest hosts, until November 28, the 12th edition of the Early Music Festival, dedicated to early European music, covering the medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and Byzantine periods. This year, the Festival is focused on the harpsichord, one of the favorite instruments of the European musical Baroque period.
The Festival opened on November 13 with a chamber music recital at the Jewish Theater, entitled Inspired by Corelli.
The Anglican Church will host two harpsichord recitals, one on November 16 (Marco Mencoboni, Toccami l’anima) and the other on November 20 (Ketil Hausgand, Bach and the French).
The Romanian National Museum of Art (MNAR) will host an event showcasing the project of reconditioning the historic Taskin harpsichord of the Peleș Museum.
Also at the MNAR, Spanish artists Xavier Diaz-Latorre and Pedro Estevan will deliver the Sones de palacio concert, on November 25.
