Drought creates problems in navigation on the Danube
Due to drought the Danube flow is at 70 per cent monthly multi-annual average. Forest fires and stubble are also favoured by the drought.

Extreme temperatures and lack of rainfall persists in Romania, creating difficulties in becoming large.
Fires, adversely affected crops and difficulties in navigation on the Danube are just some of the problems observed.
Authorities promise subsidizing electricity required for irrigation, water distribution in the localities where the power is interrupted for several hours a day and intervene where traffic on the Danube will be blocked.
Drought is the cause for the low flow of the Danube worsening navigation conditions.
Its value is now 3,700 cubic metres per second, i.e. 70 per cent of the monthly annual average .
The Danube flow will continue to fall on Tuesday and Wednesday on two sectors: Calafat -Corabia and Cernavodă, warns hydrologists.
Then there will be increases air flow, but in August it is estimated that the average will be below that of July, said Daniela Rădulescu from National Institute of Hydrology.
With regard to agricultural crops, producers say that over 40 per cent of the production of corn has already been compromised and that the wheat harvest was also hard hit.
The Government plans to subsidize all the energy required for irrigation, and the details of a program to combat the drought will be announced on Tuesday.
On the other hand, fires broke out in 12 counties, which are expanding fast approaching because of strong winds and dry vegetation.
In Harghita county were burnt this month 300 hectares of woods and dry vegetation and were 30 fires, the last ones even Monday evening.
