Discussion President-Premier, "serious, institutional"

Prime Minister Victor Ponta said that he agreed with the president as next year's budget to be drawn up by the Government which will emerge in the December parliamentary elections.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta said that the discussion with President Traian Basescu was one serious, institutional, much different from the previous ones.
"From my point of view, as Prime Minister, so until the election and after the election, I wish that the two institutions-the Government institution and the institution of the President-comply with these lines of institutional cooperation and to put every time in discussion and to public attention problems truly important for the daily life of the citizens of Romania," said the Prime Minister.

In the context of the protests of farmers in Victoria Square, the Prime Minister said the principle requests are valid, but he reminded protesters that this area was the main beneficiary of budgetary adjustment.
