"It's a happy evening when I received the first trophy after many years. I think now the season is saved.
"It is a great regret, however, not winning the title. Bonetti was staying anyway; he was not appointed coach for a few weeks. I liked the tonight's determination, although the game was not attractive," said Dragoş Săvulescu.
“Rapid stands with head up"
The coach Răzvan Lucescu said Wednesday night after the Romanian Cup final, that the Rapid team has two regrets, that he was fooled at the corner from which marked Dinamo and that failed to score, but he is proud to be out with the head up from this confrontation.
"Finals are always won and we unfortunately lost it. The others are happy. I experienced fantastic moments when I won this cup. It's the first time I lose as a coach.”
"I congratulate Dinamo because it won and showed great spirit of sacrifice, but I honestly do not criticize them because the boys played football amazingly, honoured the football and they were those who controlled the game and ran continuously.
"We have though two regrets this evening; we were fooled at the corner from which Dinamo scored and that we have failed to adhere to the big opportunities we had. But at least we have pride to be left with the head up from this confrontation.
"Roman has played great; I do not know if Rui Duarte would have done it better. We also remain with the impression of playing a very good match. The players are sad too, but that's it, you cannot always win" Lucescu said.
"Dinamo did not play better than Rapid, but deserved the victory"
LPF chairman, Dumitru Dragomir, said immediately after the Romanian Cup final that Dinamo did not play better than Rapid in the final but it deserved to win the trophy, because it scored.
"Kone deserved to be named the best player of the final. They should keep him; I would give myself some money out of the pocket just to stay in our league.
"Scarlatache did not three bad parties in the last three years, but he was not suffered for he was the child of a big boss.
"Dinamo did not play better than Rapid, but worth the victory. They scored, that's football.
"Rapid played not bad at all, but Dinamo deserves the victory. This thing with the beautiful game began to disappear. I've seen, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Bayern have not taken anything, although they played well," said Dumitru Dragomir to a television.
Asked to comment that fans attending the National Arena chanted against him, Dumitru Dragomir said humorously that "only to figures the world cries, not to litter."
