Daniel Dăianu new President of Romanian Fiscal Council
New members of Fiscal Council were validated with a number of votes ranging from 218 to 303, while some 18 MPs voted against.

Daniel Dăianu – member of Romanian Academy, former non-executive member of Board of National Bank of Romania – has been elected, on Wednesday, President of Romanian Fiscal Council. Members of this institution have chosen Dăianu by secret vote. New Vice-President of Romanian Fiscal Council is Bogdan-Octavian Cozmâncă.
New members of Fiscal Council were validated with a number of votes ranging from 218 to 303, while some 18 MPs voted against.
Romanian Fiscal Council is an independent authority, established by the fiscal responsibility law, compounded by five members with relevant background on macroeconomic and budgetary policies and selected by rigorous eligibility criteria.
