Management of Romanian car producer Dacia has decided, after talks with the unions, to temporarily suspend production at its local factory in Mioveni, Arges, due to the new coronavirus pandemic. Activity will be closed from Thursday, March 19, until April 5 - as Ion Iordache, one of the union leaders, told Radio Romania News.
All the 14,000 employees will enter technical unemployment and receive 85% of the salary.
Ion Iordache: This measure is taken to protect the health of employees. The technical unemployment will be paid, according to the Collective Labor Agreement, with 85%. Employees are worried, they have not welcomed this, but we make every effort for their health and protection.
