CSM rejects Justice Minister's request to dismiss DNA Chief
CSM's Prosecutor's Section will publish the motivation of its negative opinion at the request of Justice Minister Tudorel Toader.

Prosecutor's Section of the Supreme Council of Magistracy (CSM) issued a negative opinion on Tuesday in reference to the request of Romanian Justice Minister Tudorel Toader to revoke the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), Laura Codruţa Kovesi.
CSM decision was taken after a lengthy hearing of both Minister Tudorel Toader and the head of the DNA, Codruţa Kovesi.
CSM’s opinion is advisory, decision to revoke or to keep in office DNA’s Chief Prosecutor is under the authority of the Romanian President Klaus Iohannis.
