Interim President, Crin Antonescu, said he took note of the decision of the CCR and that it will be respected.

"We took note of the decision of the CCR and the first thing that must be said is that both I, as interim President, and PNL will abide by the decision, of the Court.

"As such, the following procedures will be completed. No one doubts respecting the CCR decision, "said Crin Antonescu from PNL Headquarters.

Crin Antonescu a declarat că nu se va retrage din viaţa politică deoarece Traian Băsescu "a fost demis pe fond".

The interim President said that areas in the CCR decision is unjust because ignores the vote of 8.5 million citizens, ignoring the fact a majority of citizens ought to constitute a quorum.

" Unjust because ignoring the laws that CCR itself invokes , CCR- the referendum law, the law on election of Romania, which say how and who constitute a quorum", said Tuesday the Interim President Crin Antonescu, in a statement to the press that was delivered at the PNL headquarters.

Crin Antonescu declared that he will not withdraw from political life because Traian Băsescu was dismissed on the merits. "

"Yes, I said clearly in the Parliament if Traian Basescu will not be dismissed I am withdrawing . Tell today clearly: I do not withdraw from politics because Băsescu was dismissed on the merits.

"I never committed any resignation before the European Commission, neither the State Department nor the majority of CCR," said Interim President.

Crin Antonescu told Parliament the President Traian Băsescu was suspended, "retiring from political life if the Romanians will not dismiss at the July 29 referendum on President Traian Băsescu.

He said Tuesday that his obligation is to the people, and the one who "must resign Traian Băsescu is."

"My Appeal to the citizens is to believe in democracy. Dear Romanians, who see your vote mocked at , and defend your right to citizens. We cannot be endlessly ignored, "said Crin Antonescu.

The Interim President was asked if it could be taken into account, a new procedure for the suspension of President Traian Băsescu if it fails to comply with the letter of the Constitution, Antonescu responding : "Undoubtedly ".

CCR's decision "will be read Wednesday or Thursday in Parliament"

President PDL , Vasile Blaga, said that the party which he runs, declares the readiness to cooperate with all political forces in support of the national interest, stating that it is time to stop the political war, and political forces to cooperate.

"We demand the USL to desist from this point to the methods of governance which have done so much harm to Romania and the hardship on the Romanians," said Blaga, in a press conference.

The leader of PDL has also claimed that the "political class has directed efforts as a priority to improve the economy and to resolve the problems of citizens of Romania".

"It's time to stop the political war and regaining a sense of normalcy" Vasile Blaga, he added.

PDL President also said that likely will take place on Thursday by a plenary meeting of the Parliament to read out the decision of the Constitutional Court in connection with the referendum.

Blaga said that according to data received by the leader of the PDL deputies from the Chairman of the Deputy Chamber , Valeriu Zgonea, the CC’s decision will be read on Wednesday morning in front of the Court and Wednesday or Thursday morning will come together Standing Bureaus and Thursday will be held the session of the two chambers in which will be read the decision of the Constitutional Court.

CCR decided that Traian Băsescu returns to Cotroceni Palace

President Traian Băsescu returns to Cotroceni Palace, after the Constitutional Court ruled that the referendum on his dismissal did not have the necessary quorum.

The President of the Constitutional Court, Augustin Zegrean, confirmed that following the today’s decision that Traian Băsescu returns at Cotroceni in order to resume the powers of head of State, according to the Radio Romania Actualități , Mădălina Verman .

He explained that judges of the Court found that the referendum was carried out correctly, and has complied with the law but has not met the condition of quorum on the Romanian participation at voting , half plus one of the number of voters enrolled on the electoral rolls.

The decision was taken by the majority provided for in law, i.e. by a vote of two-thirds of the nine judges, added the editor of Radio Romania, Mădălina Verman.

Judges are to meet Wednesday at 10: 00 pm for reading the judgment in front of the Court.

Prior to its publication in the Official Gazette the decision is presented to the Chamber of Deputies and Senate met in joint session.
