Criminal case in rem after a fighter plane and a helicopter crash

Host: After the crashes, last night, in Constanta County, of a MIG-21 LanceR fighter jet and a Puma search-and-rescue helicopter, the military prosecutors opened a criminal case in rem for culpable homicide and failure to take legal security measures and occupational health. At the same time, there is an internal investigation of the Romanian Air Force, and the Minister of Defense Vasile Dincu declared for Radio Romania Actualitati that three aspects are considered.
Vasile Dincu: So far we can see that there are three possible explanations or the intersection of several factors, including: the technical condition, especially in the case of MiG - we know that they have problems, it's been 40 years since it is the service To the Romanian Air Force, then it was the weather that was also very bad at that time and, of course, the management of that action, the way this mission was organized. These three things are being researched and we will see what the conclusions are and what we need to learn for the future so that these tragedies do not happen again.
Host: Defense Minister has rejected a link between the war in Ukraine and the two crashes last night in the southeast of the country, in which eight soldiers were killed.
