8.600 new cases of COVID were announced today in Romania, slightly lower than yesterday, but almost double compared to a week ago.
44 deaths were also reported.
The capital enters the red scenario today, after the incidence of coronavirus infections exceeded the threshold of three cases per thousand inhabitants. The Bucharest Institute of Public Health announced, more precisely, an incidence rate of 3.32 cases per thousand.
In this context, the Municipal Committee for Emergency Situations will get together in a meeting at 15:00, to order the necessary measures.
More than 50 schools in the capital could switch to online courses next week, given that in an educational unit, the percentage of vaccinations of teachers does not exceed 60%, says the Minister of Education, Sorin Cimpeanu.
