Counterfeiters pension files, prosecuted
Alba DIICOT prosecutors indicted 167 persons acted in eight counties for forgery of pension files, study degrees and other official documents.

DIICOT said in a statement, at the County Pension Houses were made almost one hundred cases of forged documents, half of them being placed in charge.
Defendants would have done, according to prosecutors, forged education documents, such as degree, undergraduate, master's, professional qualification certificates to 67 people.
Those in whose name the diplomas were issued using the various professions for which they had the necessary qualifications, according to DIICOT.
Moreover, according to DIICOT the defendants forged work cards , certificates and other documents used for the documentation of retirement, for a total of 138 people, because they unlawfully benefit pension for work experience.
The 167 people of which 7 are arrested are accused of cheating with extremely serious consequences, setting up of an association for criminal offenses of forgery in official documents, forgery and false on identity.
In mid September 2011, Alba Iulia DIICOT prosecutors in this case arrested nine people, including an employee of the Pension Office Alba.
At the time, prosecutors said that many of the 'beneficiaries of forged documents not never worked in the companies mentioned in the records of pension or had a much shorter contribution period.
One example is that of a woman from the village Jidvei ,Alba county , which appeared to have been employed at a company in Bucharest, although she has never worked at the company in question.
Another case was that of a man who worked as a shepherd, but that was attached to file retirement papers as having been employed at a mine, the the release also says.
According to prosecutors, one accused include more members of same family.
