The best cliff divers in the world have met this weekend in Mostar, Bosnia&Herzegovina, where the penultimate stage of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series took place.
Competitors jumped in the Neretva River from the platform located at a height of 27 meters on the legendary Stari Most bridge.
Recently returned after an intense period of recovery following an injury, Popovici received the highest score (10) from the jury, and accumulated 448.90 points. Gary Hunt (UK, 22), leader of the overall standings, finished with 426.90 points.
Constantin Popovici had an excellent start of the season, placing second in the Philippines and victorious in Ireland, but he was injured before Polignano a Mare stage and had to be put on hold.
Second Romanian cliff-diver in competition, Cătălin Preda, finished on the 5th place with 402.45 points. Preda made his debut last year in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series at Mostar where he finished the 3rd.
Last stage of the season will take place on September 14, in Bilbao, Spain.
