Constanța Casino, historic monument considered once Romania’s Monte Carlo but left closed as a ruin over the past years, is to be restored and reopened for the public in two years, said Romanian Minister of Public Works, Ion Ștefan.

Decebal Făgădău, Mayor of Constanța: "On the ground floor, there will be a permanent exhibition - "The History of the Constanța Casino" – with a special room for public events like meetings of the Local Council, book launches, conferences, artistic events. Naturally there will also be a public food store, and obviously, the Casino will be open to people. I want the Casino to be a special place for all those who want to come here and spend happy moments to remember all of their lives".

After rehabilitation, Constanța Casino will also host marriage ceremonies, Mayor Făgădău said, according to Radio Romania Constanța.
