Conference Media 2020 Bringing Media to the Future - Final Remarks

Media 2020 conference ''Bringing media to the future'' has come to an end. Is was the first such event staged by Radio Romania and the Asia Pacific Broadcasting union.

At the end of the Conference, Javad Mottaghi, Secretary General Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union said that” we broadcasters, are citizens of the world, therefore responsible for the audiences in our countries”.

Ovidiu Miculescu, President Director General Radio Romania thanked all the participants who he considered partners and friends,adding that the debates were very interesting opening new doors.

He announced that the next suchlike event would be hosted by China in 2016 , and a year later, in 2017, Romania would again play venue for a similar event, when Google and Netflix representatives are to be invited.”Until then we have time to think whether we develop a cooperation with them or we will remain only competitors”.

Toshiyuki Sato Special Controller Japan Broadcasting Corporation International emphasised that the most important part of a broadcast is the program, not the content.

Graham Ellis Deputy Director Radio BBC appreciated the conference, the hospitality and thanked Radio Romania for building a bridge between Europe and Asia, bringing together broadcasters from these 2 continents.

All panelists have appreciated the way the conference was organised and both organisers and participants showed a great commitment.
