Code yellow flood alert for Western Romania

The hydrologists issued a code yellow alert in the west of the country, valid from Thursday, 10.00, until Friday, 16.00.
On Wednesday hydrologists issued a code yellow alert valid from Thursday until Friday for many streams in the country because of the rain forecast for the next 36 hours.
According to the warning issued by the National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (NIHWM) valid from 17 March, 10.00, until 18 March, 16.00, given the rainfall forecast for the next 36 hours, certain rivers will overflow their banks and major spills on the slopes, torrents and streams may occur.
The affected basins will be Krasna, Barcău, Crişul Alb, Crişul Negru, Bega Veche, Timiş, Bârzava, Moraviţa, Caraş, Nera, Cerna, Deşnăţui, Jiu, and the low tributaries of Olt.
Thus, NIHWM issued a code yellow alert for rivers in 12 counties, namely on Krasna, middle basins of Barcău and upper basins of Crişul Negru, Crişul Alb, Timiş, tributaries such as Bârzava Moraviţa, Caraş, Nera, Cerna, Deşnăţui, Jiu and its tributaries, and the lower tributaries of Olt.
Moreover, NIHWM said that these phenomena may also occur on the tributaries of the rivers mentioned above.
