Child allowances will be increased by 20% from the beginning of next year, and from 2023 they will be indexed to the average inflation rate, the government decided yesterday.
The executive also approved the emergency ordinance on granting financial compensation to the nearly 9.000 mining employees who will lose their jobs as a result of the implementation of the European policy to reduce carbon emissions.
In yesterday's meeting, a total amount of 5.000.000 lei was allocated to support the population that suffered due to floods and other dangerous phenomena produced this year.
Prime Minister Forin Citu explained what aid those affected will receive.
Florin Citu: 6.000 lei for families and single people, whose homes were affected in a proportion of 75% and over. 4.000 lei for families and single people whose homes have been affected in a proportion of 50% to 75%. 2.500 lei for families and single people whose homes have been affected in a proportion of 25% to 50%. 1.500 lei for families and single people whose homes have been affected in a proportion of up to 25% and 1.000 lei for families and single people whose household goods have been damaged, regardless of the number or type of property. In addition, 7.500 lei will be granted to families in the case of deceased people due to floods, landslides and special meteorological phenomena, regardless of the number of victims.
